Dr. Allan Ared (Optometrist)
B. Optom(Hons.), PhD(Candidate) UNSW, CASA (CO), Ocular Therapeutics Certified, FAAO
A graduate with honours from the University of NSW class of 1994, Dr. Ared is the principal optometrist in our centre. He has completed a graduate certificate in ocular therapeutics and one of only a handful Australian optometrists to be inducted as a fellow of the highly distinguished American academy of optometry (FAAO).
Dr. Ared is a member of the cornea and contact lens society of Australia, the orthokeratology society of Oceania, the optometrists association of Australia and for over twenty years host of “All About Eyes” a weekly talk back eye program on Sydney’s Radio 2GB. He is a credentialed vision examiner for CASA, the civil aviation safety authority of Australia.
Currently undertaking a PhD on the effects of rubbing related corneal trauma in keratoconus, his practice is also highly regarded in the fitting and prescribing of specialty contact lenses for orthokeratology, keratoconus and complex corneal diseases. Having equipped with the technology and expertise, he serves as the resident eye consultant in our centre, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality of eye treatments to all his patients in Sydney, Australia.
Dr. Con Moshegov (Ophthalmologist)

Dr Con Moshegov is the consultant ophthalmologist at Omni Eye Centre. He is a medically trained eye specialist who has undertaken advance study to become a world authority in disorders of the eye and visual system. His area of expertise is premium cataract and laser eye surgery along with treating conditions affecting the anterior segment of the eye. These include corneal surgery, pterygium removal, chalazion removal, vitreolysis laser for floaters and iStent glaucoma surgery. Dr Moshegov spends most of his time in his George St. Sydney city surgery attending his Omni rooms by appointment only.
A graduate of the medical faculty of the University of Sydney, Dr Moshegov underwent his specialist training at the Sydney Eye Hospital. Upon completion of his specialist training in Australia, he embarked on advanced fellowship training in corneal, cataract and refractive surgery in the United Kingdom.
Soon after returning from his fellowship training overseas, Dr Moshegov was appointed to Concord Hospital, a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney. This allowed him to be engaged in the education of registrars undergoing specialist ophthalmic training. This included the teaching of advanced micro-surgical skills. He has served as Director of Ophthalmology at Concord Hospital.
